HOW MUCH OF YOUR TIME WILL I NEED?
There’s an initial outlay of time for you up front, but after the first month or so it’s up to you how involved you want to be – you can check in every couple of weeks or feel confident in waiting for a finished draft.
Depending on how long a book you need, expect the process to take about six to nine months all together. A short e-book might only take three.

HOW IT WORKS
- We’ll start with a complimentary consultation so we can get to know each other and see if I’m the right fit. You’ll tell me all about yourself, your business, your audience, and your goals for the book, and I’ll talk you through the step-by-step of what I can do to make those goals a reality.
- If you decide to hire me, we’ll set up some calls around your schedule for the planning stage.
- In the first month, I’ll conduct a series of in-depth interviews to gather all the detail and specialist information that needs to make its way from your brain to your book, and to learn your voice and style so that ultimately the book sounds and feels like you.
- You go on your merry way while I write your first chapter. When that’s done, I send it to you for feedback. If I’m not nailing the tone you have in mind, we want to find that out and course-correct now, not when I’ve written a full manuscript. Once I have your approval on style and voice, I’ll head back into my office and write the rest, sending you new chapters and updates as often as you like.
Expect to allot about nine months from our first interview through the writing, editing, and proofreading process – less for a short book (anything under 200 pages). And when we’re done, you’ll have a publication-ready manuscript in your hands, every page approved by you.
